We equip, guide and empower children — with keenness to the girl child — to grow up knowledgeable, responsible and self-reliant, through education, vocational skilling, health promotion and child protection.
Uphold The Girl Child Organisation works in the local communities of Kamuli and Buyende Districts — equipping, helping, supporting and enhancing children, with keenness to the girl child, to be knowledgeable, responsible and accountable in all their actions.
We empower children to attain complete "whole" living by ensuring they carry positive character, right behaviour and discipline, socio-economic competency in survival skills, and remain resourceful to self, society and nation.

As an organisation, our focus on the girl child — both within the community and in school — comes from our belief that bettering her social and economic wellbeing is critical, vital and prudent for the wellbeing of society as a whole.
The girl child is a key custodian of socio-economic values passed on to the next generation, which is why she remains at the centre of everything we do.
In fulfilling our call, the boy child is part of our programming — which is helping us achieve effectual impact and lasting change for whole communities.
Practical, income-generating skills for personal care, hygiene and quality survival empowerment.
For generations, the family institution has been the centre of instilling acceptable life values, norms and practices in children. Over time, this role has weakened — leading to worrying trends in child morals, school drop-outs, neglect, child rights violations and rising drug abuse and negative behavioural extremism.
These realities — affecting children, and more so the girl child, in our society and within learning institutions — moved us to act: to guide, model and support children so they can grow up and enjoy a complete life of integrity.
